Our Culture



Dunelm Property Services are a major player in the social housing sector in the North East.  The culture of the business, under which it developed its systems and procedures, was chosen as the ‘preferred way to run a business’. 

The senior management had over seventy years experience in social housing in the region and knew exactly what they wanted to achieve.  This is culture based on has been Constructing Excellence and Investors in People.

In addition to achieving high standards of workmanship, Dunelm Property Services have set very high standards in Customer Care on all their projects and particularly on their refurbishment projects where residents remain in their own homes.

This involves building a workforce that cares about what it does, that builds trust with both the client and the residents in whose homes they work.  Communication, keeping people informed at all times, is central to the Customer Care Advisors’ daily work.  This enables the site management to organise the work to a strict timetable, ensure the operatives are working efficiently and, at the same time, the residents experience as little disruption as possible.

Organisations do not usually choose a collaborative approach just for the sake of it; they do it because they want results that deliver success.  Our collaborative approach is based on developing the right business relationship, one that is founded on trust and where challenging is not only accepted, but expected.
